Bit of convo in chat got me thinking, why do we have the oldest active guild as a leaderboard stat?

https://www.futurerp.net/pages/ranking_guild.php

Wouldnt stats like most raids done, most attacks done, most clicks done be far better things to record (& aim for as they can be chased)

On that, guild loyalty reward. Recently seen a bunch of people who werent active (in most cases waiting for things to happen here first) get removed from a guild. Previously there was no in guild rule about it, so these people have now lost their loyalty status. Also on that, those that are still active, are hanging on simply because of that one stat.

Overall I dont think the loyalty stat is something that is a benefit to the game. Its potentially preventing fluidity of player movement if/when their team becomes inactive. Which in turn makes them do the same.

I was actually thinking the same thing myself. It would be nice if guilds had the ability to display these stats on the guild profile as well. Maybe even have a little badge or something showing where they rank among the other guilds in each stat. Perhaps these stats should also be tracked as they are being achieved within the guild itself, and not just as a total of the players stats like the leaderboard does now.

I like the idea of more stats being tracked and it'd be cool to display them on the Guild Page but oldest active guild is still a nice thing to measure. I don't think that should be got rid of really.

Maybe thats something for the guild profile page, but lets be honest, what purpose does it really serve on the main stats page? We are up to guild numbers well into the 5k mark. So all an old guild needs doing is have one person log in every so often to stay on a leaderboard.

That would be like watching Indy & the oldest team running a lap here & there to be in the top 5. its really only a stat a 'select' few will ever get & its one some keep with little to no real effort (no offence)

like a selectable table of choices that a guild could put in their description (like the stats signature we can use in here?? )

Select what stats you want to show off & it generates a BB code that you can add however you like into that area

Players losing their loyalty streak if they are kicked is a very good point. It's pretty unfair to them. I mean as long as they aren't taking up a spot while being overly inactive.
A solution to that could be, at the very least, keeping their most recent guilds loyalty duration if they are kicked out. If they leave themselves it's whatever. If they are kicked and are able to rejoin, it starts again. But if they end up joining a different guild, you'd just reset loyalty and start with the new one.
