You misunderstand me. Being attacked, even constantly with all the extras is nothing if not a little annoying. But if a simple bounty lasts literally a decade, what does that say about the game? Think of new players that come in and look at that. The lack of activity is ever present but when someone comes in and sees bounties still there from 2013 it becomes tangible evidence.
I wouldn't say I misunderstood, I addressed the threads point of bounty longevity; And I agreed as well.
Personally I don't think a new player would pay much attention to how long a bounty has been active. That point seems mostly moot, they are more likely to not even notice the bounty list until later, in my opinion. There really isn't much reason for them to care. Even when browsing and seeing it, it seems doubtful they see past untouchable player levels and shares. But it is possible someone is considerably that observant.

As you state, bounties are good for credits and points to be used. By limiting how long the bounties are able to be active we open the door for even more credits and points to be used when they're placed back on. It's a win win.
That is true also though, essentially less duration to bounties could (and likely would) mean even more currency sink.
I'm not saying I don't agree with you or the general idea of the thread here, just providing my thoughts.
