I have been noticing huge amounts of players NEVER even logging in, because they never got their verification email!

To combat this, new players will have to do the following:

-Register your character.
-Log in and play.
-You have 48 hours to verify your email account - if you cannot, you will be locked out of the game after 48 hours.

Also, referrers of new players will NOT get their point rewards until the new player has verified.

If you change your email address on the preferences page, you will have 48 hours to verify their new email address, or they will not be allowed to log in(until they do(smiley)).

This is much more flexible, I feel. It's worth a try, because it was getting rediculous - at one point 60% of new players never logged on. Now, that isn't good for anyone(smiley)

In addition..

This is cyberkilla btw...

I am making the game easier to use for new players.

I am adding a Getting Started guide.

Also, I have fixed the Random Slaughter page - it now selects players that aren't in guilds! I can't believe it has been used so often, and nobody has noticed that it was not feeding you guildless players!

Also, it wasn't giving new players any prey, because of a rounding problem. Fixed now!

Check it out! You'll suddenly have a lot more players to attack with random slaughter!(smiley)

Also, you MUST be level 5+ to transfer points out of your account - stops cheats.

I was testing what it was like for a new player.

The experience is MUCH better now.

They have a bit of information on what to do, and attacking with random slaughter works properly.

And, they don't need to give us the email verification upfront.
