In a similar vein to the attack results thread, we're about to redesign the raid results page, and were wondering what you thought should be displayed.
  • Would you prefer a ream of "strike" messages appended down the page as the raid commences, or a single message box that updates for each strike?
  • Do you want to see how much HP is left, how the Defence attribute is affecting each strike, and so on?
Let me know in this thread, and I'll make sure it's in the new one!

Here's the old one, for reference, in case someone has managed to forget how it looks:

Definitely needs to show who hit who. As well as display crits, blocking and misses.
Seeing the current HP would be nice too. I am leaning towards the a single box, that would update the current status of both sides and show the current strike. Tho maybe add option to see the history of strikes in text form.
Well, I suppose seeing how defense affect attacks would be nice too (but defense system itself needs some fixes to make it remotely useful)

Other than the compulsory part, another idea is to individualize the speeds. Basically the fastest guy does his strike first, then the next fastest guy and so on until one round of striking is done, then it would start all over again. It would also be complemented by speed randomizer, just like in usual attacking. Link on this matter (tho there's no real new info that you already haven't learnt from this post: http://www.futurerp.net/pages/board_thread.php?id=3392)

EDIT: Here's the server-wide raids idea topic: http://www.futurerp.net/pages/board_thread.php?id=3850 (&start_at=7 for my additional explanation)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think that the guild raid page should be similar to the attack page in that it has 10 hp bars for the boss and an hp bar for each of the players, and maybe to make it even better a line between hp bars will show up every time someone attacks to show who is attacking who.  There should be an option to jump straight to the results too just so people don't have to wait through the whole long thing every time they want to see the results.

Also, I was thinking that instead of the credits a guild loses dissappearing into the void beyond when defeated by a boss, that boss should then gain those credits so that any guild can then steal a portion of the credits that were lost to that boss.  Would make regaining lost credits a little bit easier, and the detriment for losing a raid would still be there, because other guilds could gain some of those credits lost as well by attacking that boss and winning.  So, say the boss normally drops 1.5mil then you lose and it gains 250mil, then say each guild that wins a raid to it will gain 5% or some other percent of the current credits until it goes back to normal.

Hows it going, and have fun.

All good ideas! I like the progress bar on each member thing (smiley)
