Today, I found a working copy of FutureRP Round 3, circa 2007. I thought I'd satisfy my curiosity and put it online!

Please note, this is only temporary, and the timeframe that it will be online is not known. The reason I've put it online is as follows:

Round 3 had a lot of hidden gems which made FutureRP fun, and I feel like we've lost a few of them over time. It is crude, slow, and unpolished, but it was great fun to play. I urge everyone with the inclination to check it out, and report any inspiration for new updates back to this thread!

Some of you will already have an account on there, as I've used the last snapshot of the DB I had before we switched to Round 4 back in 2007! If you don't, just register an account -- I've rigged it not to demand that you validate your email address. No funny business!(smiley)

Anything that you see in round 3 that makes you think, "damn, I wish we had feature X in the current FutureRP", should be posted in this thread. I'm listening to all suggestions (except "delete what you have now and just revert to round 3" (smiley) ).

Differences I've seen:
- Tournament
- Monster farm
- Random Slaughter
- More casino games
- Trade block is curious-looking
- Money is more ridiculous, which is both terrible and fun.
- Stealing/destroying "items" (a**ets) from other players and guilds.
- Skill system which has "bank theft/anti bank theft" and a bioenergy attribute which is degraded by incoming attacks and increased by outgoing attacks. The lower the bioenergy attribute, the higher a chance of bank theft if your enemy has the right skills (and you don't(smiley) ).
- Bosses were called Adventure Enemies and you got little badges for beating them in raids.
- Item attributes were simpler.
- NPCs could buy items, not just sell them, I think.
- Levelling curve was almost linear, so you could level up really easily, and the likes of King Pummel T were level 600. This is cool, but also bad. Not sure what the ultimate conclusion is for this one, but in the context of round 3, it was fun.

Say what you feel, but don't be nasty (smiley) I like to improve things as much as I can, and if we can isolate some key factors in making round 3 fun, I'll be sure to implement some thing similar here (smiley)

It really is quite amazing to see what it was like to be in round 3 though, honestly. Everything seems much more intricate. More functionality it seems in some places. Hard to explain I guess, I may just like it because it's all new to me. It's like seeing an entire update or something. There are many things I would like to see here, but I can't see how you would implement them.

More casino games would be good, and of course the guild help during attacks. It seems there were a lot of items back then too. With gems and stuff. As well the crafting system it seems to have. I mean, you basically list everything that would be great to have now. But it all must be changed to function with how things are now, points seem to be more valuable now (in a sense), and credits aren't as abundant.

Honestly, it looks like what everyone here already wants.

Loads of items to enchance your Attack/Defence and Income with alot of skill increase items to go with them and socket upgrades for you equipment. The monster farm is also awesome, it seems perfect to be honest.

IMO i love 3 better (smiley)

There really is so much more to do and yes it does take longer to do things but damn im really digging it (smiley)

Convert whatever rounds we are in now back to round 3 and lets get rocking (smiley)

There are some things there that could be fixed but comparing to what we use now...it seams round 3 was way further ahead and should have never been changed.
