Before, the lottery was 4 balls per ticket.

That means 4 times 0-9, right?

I'm not up to scratch with my probabilities, but isn't it like this:

4 balls = 10x10x10x10? 10,000:1 chance of right numbers?
3 balls = 10x10x10? 1,000:1 chance of right numbers? This is a lot better.

Am I right? If not, please elaborate for us.
All I know is that nobody has won the lottery for 7 days. Perhaps not even since the beginning of round 4.

It should be hard to win the lottery here, but not as hard as in the real world, surely?(smiley)

EDIT:
Also, unlike the real world, EVERY ball can be 0-9, whereas, for the british lottery at least, you only use a number from 1-49 once per draw.

So you would not be able to have 1-1-1-1 in real life, but you can here, increasing the ratio yet further.

0-0-1
0-1-0
0-1-1
1-0-0
1-0-1
1-1-0
1-1-1

You can get ~8 combinations from three lots of 0 and 1, so three lots of 0-9 must be quite large, but achievable.

I'm not sure about others but I think either the raffle or lottery should be more regular instead of once per day

I'm not convinced to be honest. I like the way the winnings are so much larger.

Raffle, perhaps. But the lottery needs the timespan for people to join(because there isnt a sure winner like in round 3).

I'm still not using it, those are terrible odds.

I'll elaborate a little... at 1000:1 odds on a $100,000 bet

The jackpot would have to be $100,000,000 just for even money.

Well, I don't know, people pay money for the real lotteries, and they are a million to one or worse(smiley)
And, yes, the prize does kinda compensate for the cost if you win.

I think I should lower the ticket cost somewhat. Not to 1$ though(smiley)

Maybe $10,000, or $50,000.

The jackpot will continue to increase until it is a large enough reward to justify most people buying a ticket.
