New In-Page Chat Feature
We now have a basic in-page chat feature, which should hopefully make everything feel a bit more connected. Expect further refinements to it in the near future though. Feedback is appreciated.
There are a number of updates planned, from new content to new game mechanics, changes to player and guild progression, health bars, item durability, crafting, fishing, mining, and much more.
It'll be interesting to see how much we can get out of the door before Christmas!
Player & Guild Vault Clean-up
The player and guild vault pages have been updated to the newer site theme, so should be more consistent and easier to use.
Daily Login Streaks
We have began tracking consecutive login streaks and will award players skill buffs for passing key milestones.
We currently have milestones at 7, 14, 21, and 28 days, with increasing effects.
The skill buffs will continue to be applied for as long as the streak is maintained.
This is a feature we're trialling as part of a wider push to add more objectives and achievements to the game.
New Mobile Theme Available
We have a new mobile theme available for testing. If you have any suggestions or issues with it, please let is know in the forums.
It is largely complete, but there are a few areas that need a bit more polish.

Just a quick note that the roadmap for 2019 is being compiled and will be posted in the forum in the coming days!
Migration to New, Faster Server
Finally, some good news to post here - we've migrated to a new, faster server, with plenty of room to grow. Speaking of growth, expect changes around here in the coming weeks, as we move onto the new codebase, and gain not only a fresh new theme, but new, modern functionality, and an actual schedule for when content will be dropped into the game. You've all be incredibly patient, and I'm hope that I can pay you back, at least partially. More news to come! :-)
Version 8.15.0 Released
We'll still be looking at ways to reduce the number of occasions you see it, if at all, in the near future.
Lots of substantial backend changes today as well:
- The periodic tasks that grant hourly experience, execute raids, etc., have been made into multi-node runners to prepare for better horizontal scaling (faster, more robust)
- Changes to DB schema (caused by adding new features, etc.) is now applied automatically upon deployment, speeding up game development
- Misc fixes for tracking new player entry points and suspicious page accesses which regressed slightly due to moving to front-controller design
More to come, we want this kind of update cadence to be maintained going forward. Main focus is new game content (maps, items), and some long-standing feature requests (guild territorial control, progression systems, new player skill trees, item extended attributes that act like passive skill buffs that stack). Should be interesting year for the game!
