also what program do you use to make the items... i know its done on a tablet, but what software... i have ms paint, photoshop cs2 pro, macromedia studio XL, gimp2, and artrage2.5 and the artrage is the closest that i can get to making images that look like yours, but they are still fairly different

I use GIMP 2.4.2 with a Wacom Graphire 4 Tablet.
I draw at 6x the resolution, then scale down to the right size.
So an item at 65x100 is drawn at 390x600 and scaled down
It is simple. You just save it as a png,gif,jpg and upload it like you would upload to the gallery

ive always used "Rhino3d" good for making different things in an old RTS game 
pretty good for that and free but cant rember where i got it from, think it was off another designer

looks interesting, will people be able to make thier own tilesets and upload them for you to clear them or will you be making them as you go along..?
