a idea ive seen on a few other games i play, is a conversion or sale back to the system of items.
say like we have  a skull belt of dev and you have no use for it, instead of waiting for someone to hopefully buy it from the trade block we could have a set value in points or cash (not together of course) which we could sell back to the system itself.  ive seen it work and be rather helpful with keeping the flux of items on the markets down, of course this might increase value or even set a stable sale price for gear sets or pieces of sets.

this is just a suggestion, its probably been posted before, i just wanted to see what others felt about it and if maybe we could get it on the game.

There has been talk of this happening for Credits recently, and in truth, many times in the past (smiley)

I would like to push this forward a bit; the only thing causing a problem is that the valuation of each item is rather high, even for junk ones. I don't mind there being a minor market for collecting junk items to make a profit, but that profit should not be huge.

In many cases, these dead items shouldn't be worth more than a few thousand Credits. There other thing is, I'm throwing about the idea of every sell back costing 1 turn, to stop extremely excessive sell backs.

i wouldnt be against the 1 turn sell back either, as it would stop extreme sell back.
but are you against the sale of it for points? like say the skull belt being worth say 10points? i know i dont have much say nor do i know the inner workings of the game but i think a point or cash value could be established.  im just after the possiblity of cashing in some of the dev gear i have that i cant seem to sell in the trade block because we dont have many new players reaching lv 65

The problem is, if it allows you to sell back for points, everyone will have hundreds of thousands of them. I am very concerned about points having an out-of-control vector into the game, and sellback would be one of them.

Edit: Also, it's worth remembering that Points are not the main currency, Credits are. Points are just a special little fund that you use to upgrade your account. Everything in-game is supposed to be Credits, except for special cases.

lol i hardly use the credits that much >.> but ok i just wanted to throw that suggestion out there.. even if there was a item to credit conversion that would be nice instead of having all these items laying around we could get extra credits for them.

That's precisely the problem (smiley) We need to make Credits primary for all in-game transactions.
