A ma**ive wave of attacks all coming from the same people at the same time every day is more than enough circumstantial evidence to ban someone imo.

Not exactly. I have the same 5 people attacking me 2 to 3x a day every day of every week pretty much 20 mins apart from one another, not counting the other attacks i have, it doesnt mean their cheating. Some people login at certain times when they can or when they have time. It doesnt mean Ban them.

my answer is literally the player base at the moment. whats the problem. You get attacked, same people over and over, around the same time, 2 to 3x a day. Its the game. whats the problem

I just saw how the reCAPTCHA works and that seems like a great way to fool the bots.  Dunno if the service costs anything to implement, but it's from google and seems legit.
