Does anyone do astrophotography? Or any photography, really.

I went to an observatory last weekend and these are about as good as I could get with 25s shutter speed. Lens was only F4 though, I'm looking at an F1.4 atm, not sure how much of an impact it'll make in reality.

You can just about see the milky way in a few of them. For a first attempt I can't complain though:

I don't know anything about photography, but those shots are amazing. My dream home/room would have a way to look up at the stars. I do actually love looking at the sky. It's insane to see so many dots and wrap your head around them. These shots show all of that mystery so clearly.
So I will say I can appreciate them at least. Really cool CK. I should look into that sort of hobby.

Yeah, same here (smiley) I'm lucky if I can see Orion's belt from where I live at the moment. One day it would be nice to move further into the countryside, or buy a villa on some obscure greek island. Hopefully I'll win the lottery (smiley)

Mini Dipper
Gemini

These are a few of the constellations I caught when I drove way out into the country cause there's a lot of light pollution where I live.  Yes I know the mini dipper isn't actually a known constellation by itself, but it is part of the tauros constellation.

BTW I took these pictures with my phone.  Still got that phone. It is a galaxy s10, so several generations ago.  I think it's more difficult to see specific constellations in the view you got but it really is amazing how many stars you got and how good it looks.

Hows it going, and have fun.
