I think the spawn rate of abandoned items should go up

People are just more careful when it comes to their items.
Abandoned items come directly from being left on maps.

Because there are barely any normal NPC's that even drop anything, to my knowledge there is only one (two if you count the newb map) official map and one player-made map, of which normal NPC's drop anything, the only reason there were so many useless items before was the Halloween Event.

What happened was that I cleared out a tonne of unwanted items, and reduced the number of times that they could be shown on the page before they were destroyed forever (smiley)

It means that you'll see more items that are actually worth collecting, though it'll be a little slower to fill up the page. I'll double check in case there's a problem.

There are a lot of custom maps that drop items now, which is nice. There could certainly be more, and the same goes for official maps. I'm working on that over Christmas, actually.
