I think this is absolutely correct. Items are worthless and really do nothing.
I think some sets give you a bonus, but really not enough of one to matter.
My statement about having to decide between set bonuses and better equipment was meant for the new equipment system, not the current one.
EXP system also needs a revamp. Getting 1k exp per day from equipment is ridiculous.
