Yes, mining is one of the new professions. It's not done yet.

It will be finished when it will be finished. : ) 

Cyberkilla has other things he said he will finish by this week.

I'm looking forward to adding mining support. It's basically finished. There's just a few numbers to work out (such as the respawn rate of ores).
