im buying 100 points for $1,000,000

Thats about right!

100 * 24(makes it old version points) * 35,000(cost per point in old version?) / 100(lower cost to fit new economy) = $840,000

So, thats right on track. to be clear, he appears to be giving you a bit more than the normal amount(smiley).

Also, if this was correct, then based on the old versions last pt2cash rating, its:

1 point = 35,000 / 100 * 24 = $8,400 per point?

Thats not compensating for the fact that points are more rare now though(smiley)
Just giving you a base amount to work from

Not compensating for how hard it is to get points, which by the way I won't be buying until we get that ironed out... I paid 44k per point

44,000 = 1
44,000 / 100 = 1 / 24
440 = 0.041666
(1,000,000 / 440) * 0.041666 = 94.6951

so by my prices... 1,000,000 cash is equal to 94.6951 points roughly...

let's wait and see how the new structure has an affect on that though.

Like I said in the other thread cyber, the conflict is due to the different denominators that you have used.. Why not use 100 as the point denominator as well?.. That will leave things a bit on track but still a bit out of place..

At this rate, since points are now very rare, its prices will skyrocket in about a weeks time.. But! Its prices will still depend on its usage, coz unlike in the previous version, I believe points now have minimal usage which in a way conflicts any price that you put on it..

If this is really how the number are gonna be, I suggest we do a Market Overhaul, meaning a market starting from scratch and not based on the previous version. Now how do we do that?

My suggestion would be is that you, cyberkilla, must establish a STANDARD PRICE LIST for point and cash exchange. It might be announced, posted, etc. Cash usage and point usage in the game must be taken into consideration for the exchange value. Take note that this is only the STANDARD price which only takes its effect from the beginning of this version. When the economy becomes stable, all records of the PRICE LIST must be removed from the public's eye (this is important for the economy to evolve and so that prices will not remain constant as the way you have posted them).

In due time, economy will grow, the law of suppply and demand will take its course and we will have a stable growing economy. Prices would then be NOT based on what is on the list but rather it will change according to supply and demand. Its like starting a new civilization. There has to be standards, and in time, those standards will disappear and new standards would be made.

I didn't have to do it but I did it to say, that I didn't have to do it but I would anyway..

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you on this one Party Boy. Points had little to no use before and it's about the same now, the only reason I collected them is because unlike bankspace you can hold as many as you want. Now as before they will do little more than bump up your bankspace and for those that feel like wasting them, add a little exp.

sorry for hijacking your thread keylo...
