All of the elite maze items are moving gifs. I just want to know if it will ever be possible to make consumables like the power coin and unreality items.
Hows it going, and have fun.

If that does happen, it will probably be when quest maker comes. CK and GF shouldn't even worry making those kinds of items available to players either right now. When they decide to do quest maker, that's when they should make those items, in my opinion. Small things like making items a set, or making things possible that are already coded (like Kuza's weapon, the red rarity, forget name) are easy and take no time. As opposed to that.
But yeah it'll probably come with quest maker.

It's definitely planned, as we have a whole resource/consumable system planned for later in the year

It should also be noted that it's possible to create animated PNG's, which allow you to create animated images much like .GIF's, but they retain the alpha channel.
Here's an example of one: https://www.futurerp.net/pages/gallery_image.php?id=1164
There's an addon for Firefox for creating animated PNG's, as well as a plugin for GIMP.
It does have several drawbacks though, Chrome and Opera support it only with an addon and IE doesn't support it at all, in which case, only a still image is shown (presumably first frame). Also, filesize can get very high so you can use at most 3-4 frames before you run out of allowed size to be uploaded in game. I'm not even sure whether the image posted above is within the limit and it has 3 frames.

To answer Jrady's question, which ended up as new thread, actual frames.
