I keep thinking about this (smiley)

I like the idea of everything you need being contained within FutureRP itself, but I can see the merit of tying into things everyone is already using.

I'll consider it. I did make one while ago, but goodness knows where it went. We had an XMPP server at one point, before all of that Jabber stuff fell off a cliff. Shame, really, it solved every problem. I could integrate it into the site, and people could use their own clients, talk across networks... Everything is a walled garden nowadays. Shame (smiley)

I'm against it simply because I don't use discord so the in game chat is easier. Though discord does chat, that's their thing; their niche, they'd obviously have it done right

Contrary to your beliefs, the world does not revolve around you. Fact is the FRP Discord I made has more members in it than the in game chat, go figure.

Other thing is, it can be embedded into a website without your types needing the app

LMAO, you can say that again! 🤣

As stated above, Discord specializes in chat which is why features like the one you discuss can be very beneficial with much more time spent on the code and design than would be feasible for a few people with a different primary focus. That was a very good point, DJ.
