So, you know how to draw, and you want to help the game expand?
Excellent! I need all the help I can get
I was going to create an elaborate content submission system, but we had something similar previously, and it was inundated with stolen pictures, and became a burden to moderate.
So, instead of that, I have decided to open up this forum for people who want to help.
There are several ways in which you can help, which I will explain further down this post.
But first, I must mention the rules, and the rewards
Rules:
When you submit artwork to this forum, you are acknowledging that it is all your own work, and not stolen or copyrighted material.
In addition, you are giving us full freedom to use it as we see fit. We will try to credit all helpers, however.
Rewards:
If you post something here, like the designs for a new map location, or a set of amazing items, etc, we will use it in the game without rewarding you!
We can't give a reward to everyone - only the artwork that we think will be useful at some point.
How much, and of what? Well, if there is anything in this game that is rare, it is Points! How many points, I honestly can't say, but it will be worth your while. It will be a good amount, and vary depending on the extent/quality of your work.
Okay, now to explain the kinds of things we are looking for.
The dimensions of the main image depend on the slot.
Weapon, Torso, and Shield are all 65x100 pixels. All other slots are 65x65 pixels at this time.
Items MUST be things that are tangible - meaning, things you would wear, or hold.
For instance, a Sword is an Item, and a Barbed Wire Fence is an a**et.
a**ets are 45x45 pixels opaque png, with a black background.
They can be awarded by guilds, and by the game itself, for compet*tions.
There is no real dimension restriction at this time.
They should be opaque png format, however.
To get an idea of the preferred sizes, it is probably a good idea to look at a few of the existing medals in-game.
They are what we use to make maps.
They must be a multiple of 32 pixels in width and height. It is preferred that you expand vertically, rather than horizontally, because it is easier for me to work with
The formats allowed are transparent gif, and transparent png.
Keeping filesize to a minimum is important.
Maps are composed of three tile layers.
Ground, On Ground, Above Ground.
Everything that will be walked upon will go onto the ground.
You can then make a tile for something that will appear on the ground, like a chair.
The next level is above the ground, and is rarely used.
If you have used something like an rpg map editor, you will probably understand the concept anyway.
The tileset will include the tiles for the ground, and for the other layers, all in one image.
All you have to do is post a thread in this forum, with your ideas, and links to the artwork in.
But where can I host the artwork? HERE
The above link is just an album in the gallery, which can be accessed via MEMBERS/View Gallery.
You can post all of your artwork there, and use the
button when you post a thread to include your images into the post! We will all be able to see your efforts, and you will get feedback

Okay, now to explain the kinds of things we are looking for.
Items
Item artwork consists of 2 things:
- 32x32 pixels, transparent gif - the item's small icon for the quest!
- 65x65 or 65x100 pixels opaque png, with black background - the full size image of the item.
The dimensions of the main image depend on the slot.

Medals
Medals are symbols of achievement and honour in the game, or just for a bit of fun. They can be awarded by guilds, and by the game itself, for compet*tions.
There is no real dimension restriction at this time.
