they could be copyrighted

     Oh, here is something I have always wondered. What is the difference between using items that are copyrighted and using avatars? Wouldn't an avatar have just as much chance as being copyrighted as any other pic?

well not really because it has been edited and modified on most occasions but for those that just pull them straight off the google search engine then yes

It's just to give me the general idea, isn't it? If so, it doesn't matter if you pull them from google.
