Ok, so I just upgraded from the level 100 Incandescence Utility item, to the Fire Orb of Endgame. My Incandescence item had 4 stars. I upgraded my Fire Orb to 5 (because I thought it would be awesome). My net power gain from a level 100 item not fully upgraded to a level 130 item fully upgraded was 186 power....That's roughly a 0.4% increase in power....For 1500 points and 66.5 million credits. I don't know about anyone else but that seems insane. I mean its not even a 1% upgrade!

Is there anyway we could see a "bump" in the gear? I mean at this point there is really very little difference between wearing gear and wearing nothing. In all honesty you could walk around naked and with no negative skills used on you I bet someone 5 levels under you would have a very hard time killing you.

Honestly the gear should have a much larger impact on a players power. Because I'll be honest, if I would have sat and done the math before I got all giddy that I could buy the Orb, I probably wouldn't have done it for 186 power...

I agree with this. Anyone down for a naked man protest (smiley) Well...you get what I mean... remove all your gear?

A post I made a while back regarding new item powers.

Also includes an idea for a new base attribute system.

I really like you're ideas there Kuz. The only thing I would add is I do think leveling should make a large impact on a players power. I just think that if you get really rare items such as the set the GK's drop or something such as that, that it should impact your power way more than it does. I mean you wait on the tremendously long drop rate to get the items the least you should get for your wait is a moderate impact on your power.
